What a wonderful morning reading with Gators! 🐊📚 Heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Norenberg, Mr. Tornquist, Mrs. Gonzalez-Martinez and Mrs. Menk for inviting Superintendent Amy Peterman to visit at Adkison Elementary. Dr. Peterman had the best time reading a few pages from "The One and Only Ivan," hearing students read their book reviews for the #CUSDreads Superintendent's Book Club, and drawing names for free books! #GatorsRead #TheCeresWay

🤔 What role do students have in improving their schools? 🤔 How does a superintendent make decisions that affect all schools in the district? 🤔 How will technology change the way students learn in the future? These are just a few of the questions that Caswell Elementary Dual Language Academy students asked when Superintendent Amy Peterman paid a lunchtime visit. These inspiring young voices remind us that students play a vital role in shaping the future of our schools – and our future is bright! 🌞😎 #StudentVoices #TheCeresWay

What an amazing day of learning at the CUSD Instructional Summit! It was wonderful to see all of our instructional staff under one roof for this morning’s keynote with Holly Clark. Sessions focused on giving students what they need to be successful while they are with CUSD, and to have choices about their future after they graduate. A big thanks to everyone who brought this day to life, including our Educational Services and Technology teams, presenters, custodial staff, departments that helped coordinate parking, and CVHS for hosting. #TeamCUSD, thank you for your commitment to being your best so our students can be their best! 🫶 For more photos, please see the CUSD Instructional Summit 2024 album on our Facebook page. #TeamCUSD #TheCeresWay

A reminder that Friday, Nov. 1 is a non-student day as our staff participate in a district-wide Instructional Summit. We’ll look forward to seeing students back at school on Monday! 🚨 Children will be out and about this evening. 👻💀🧙‍♀️🍭 If driving or Trick-or-Treating, keep a wary eye out. 👀 For more tips like these from safekids.org, please visit https://www.safekids.org/tip/halloween-safety-tips: 🎃 Carry glow sticks or flashlights, use reflective tape or stickers on costumes and bags, and wear light colors to help kids see and be seen by drivers. 🎃 Join kids under age 12 for trick-or-treating. 🎃 Slow down and be alert! Kids are excited on Halloween and may dart into the street. Turn on headlights early in the day to spot kids from further away. 🎃 Remind kids to cross the street at corners or crosswalks. 🎃 When selecting a costume, make sure it is the right size to prevent trips and falls. Choose face paint instead of masks when possible. Masks can limit children’s vision.

I really enjoyed reading this book for the art, the plot, the characters, the many expressions that Syv's brothers had. ... The first plot twist was exciting, but then when I found out the second plot twist, I was in shock! ... The ending was beautiful. Review of The Snowcat Prince by Solange
