Varsity: Central Valley 4, Pacheco 2
JV: Central Valley defeats Pacheco
The Varsity Hawks kicked off WAC play with a thrilling road win at Pacheco against the Panthers. The Hawks relied heavily on their lefty ace, Chris Garcia, as he silenced the Panther bats all afternoon. Chris totaled 14 K’s over 6.2 innings allowing just 2 hits and 0 earned runs. CV needed this dominating effort as the game came down to the last Pacheco hitter. The Hawks were able to hold off the late rally and take home the 4-2 win. Offensively, the Hawks were led by Mason Whitworth (3-4, 2B, 2 RBI) and Fernando Dominguez (2-3). CV’s overall is record is now 5-4 and 1-0 in WAC play. Weather permitting, the Hawks will host Pacheco on Thursday at 4:00pm.
Stunt Cheer
Varsity: Central Valley 21, Livingston 1
JV: Central Valley defeats Merced
The CV Stunt team was ready for their opener last night here at CV. The Hawks dominated from start to finish and took home the 21-1 win over Livingston (picture attached). The JV Hawks also picked up a win over the Merced Bears. CV Stunt will be back in action this Thursday night when they play the Lathrop Spartans at 5:00pm at Ceres High.

Varsity: Atwater defeats Central Valley 3-0
JV: Atwater defeats Central Valley 2-0
The Hawks traveled to Atwater last night to take on the Falcons, but fell in straight sets. CV will look to bounce back in WAC play this Friday when they travel to Lathrop to take on the Spartans.
Boys Golf
Lodi defeats Central Valley @ Woodbridge Golf & Country Club
The Hawks started off their season with the daunting task of taking on the defending NorCal finalist, Lodi Flames. The Hawks did not come away with the win, but gained some valuable experience in preparation for league play. CV will open up their league season with WAC meet #1 on Thursday at St. Stan’s.
