In a highly anticipated pre-season matchup, the Hawks prevailed over a very tough East Union Lancers team. The Central Valley and East Union soccer programs have met multiple times in the playoffs over the years so the Hawks knew this would be a good test. The Hawks were ready for the challenge as all 3 CV goals came past the 20 minute mark of the 1st half in a flurry. CV scored all 3 goals in a 15 minute span right before halftime. The Hawk defense dominated the 2nd half and CV ended the night with a solid 3-0 win. This win puts the Hawks pre-season record at 5-0 as they look to get battle-tested in the upcoming East Union Tournament. CV is scheduled to play several top programs as the Hawks will take on the Valley Vikings out of Sacramento (FRI), the Turlock Bulldogs (FRI), and the Grace Davis Spartans (SAT). After tournament play, the Hawks will have their first CCC game at El Capitan on Tuesday, December 5th. Congrats also to the JV Hawks as they scored with just 8 minutes remaining in the game to pull off the 1-0 win over the Lancers. The JV Hawks are also 5-0 this pre-season and will also compete in the East Union Tournament with games against Lathrop and Valley of Sacramento on Friday.
