Chromebook Cleanliness

Cleaning - For all electronic devices, including Chromebooks, the most effective method for removing dirt, debris, and fingerprints is a damp microfiber cloth. It is recommended that the electronic device is turned off and not plugged in while it is cleaned.

Disinfecting - For electronic devices, it is recommended to use a mixture of 70% isopropyl alcohol and 30% water. This mixture should be sprayed or dabbed onto a microfiber cloth to the point where it's moist but not soaking wet. From there, it can be wiped onto the device (do not spray or pour mixture directly onto a device). The device should sit until the mixture has completely dried.

Also, bleach-free disinfectant wipes that are non-abrasive can also be used for disinfecting. Once the wipes have been used on the device, allow for the device to dry before using it or plugging it in.

DO NOT USE full-strength rubbing alcohol or abrasive cleaners as they may damage your electronic devices or the oil-repellent coating that keeps smudges off of screens.
